The Origins of Transphobia: An Analysis of Misconceptions About Gender in Western Society
My paper anylizes transphobia in two parts: the gender binary and the construction of gender. I look at how transphobia developed in Western legal discourse through legal documents and how that has affected LGBT laws today, and I look at scientific studies that prove that gender is not a social construct.
